Thanks to an update to the beta version of Google’s internal phone app, the app appears to be downloadable and usable on almost any Android device. This is great news because only Pixel and Android One devices support it.
Note that this is only a dialer app and does not have the functionality it is known for on Pixel devices. For example, as tested by Android police, there is no call screen, a great tool for combating unwanted calls. It should also be noted that receiving calls through this dialer may or may not also be successful. Typical beta, Amirite?
If you take a look at my list of devices, the app seems to support all of them except devices that aren’t phones. Things like Android TV and smartwatches aren’t supported, which is understandable.
